JULY 13th:

Bad News: Because of storm damage, lack of power and water and an ongoing blackout affecting half the properties in Barrington Hills, the Fox River Valley Hunt and Riding Club have cancelled this weekend's Hunter Pace on Sunday July 17th.  We will be contacting all those who have RSVPd and sending out refunds as soon as we are able.  We will also let you know as soon as we have an alternate date determined.

Good News:  The Fox River Valley Hunt has opened up this weekend's trail ride and party at Bryan and Christy Cressey's beautiful Camp Creek Ranch in Elizabeth, Illinois to all Riding Club members!  Come out and join us for a 10AM  trail ride followed by a picnic hosted by Marilyn and Bob Heaton at noon.  You don't have to be a fox hunter to appreciate the unbelievable beauty of the Cornwall Hounds Hunt Country, and there are a host of activities available in the Galena area for those who would like to stay overnight or for the weekend:

www.galenachamber.com

Cornwall Hounds members may be able to provide a limited number of overnight accomodations for both horses and riders, so please let the hunt secretary, Sue Schact, msjschacht@sbcglobal.net, or (847) 942-4556 know as soon as possible if you plan to attend.

Please allow 2.5 hours from Barrington to Camp Creek Ranch if you are pulling a horse trailer.  The address is 4940, east Massbach Road, Elizabeth, Illinois.

Directions from Route 20:
From Route 20, go south on Derinda Road 7 to 8 miles to sign which indicates Mt. Carroll to the left (big Victorian House sits to the far left in field). Turn left for a short jog to stop sign, then right on Massbach Rd. Continue several miles to 4940 east Massbach Rd.

Parking is at the end of the driveway in front of the barn.

We hope to see you there!
